What reflexology involves
Reflexology uses pressure techniques on the feet within a traditional holistic approach. It offers a different experience from a full-body massage, with the focus on touch and time spent attending to the feet. Your session includes a foot bath and an introduction to help you settle before the main treatment.
Reflexology is sometimes described through traditional ideas about points on the feet. Those ideas should not be read as a diagnosis of an organ problem or a promise to treat a medical condition.
Let us know what feels comfortable
Tell the therapist about foot injuries, skin conditions, sensitivity or anything that could affect the appointment. The pressure should be discussed and adjusted, and you can ask to pause. If you have a health condition that raises a suitability question, check with the appropriate clinician and contact us before booking.
Reflexology or foot massage?
If you mainly want a conventional massage of tired feet and calves, our foot and lower-leg treatment is worth comparing. Reflexology follows its own pattern of pressure work and offers a more specifically foot-centred holistic session. Reiki is another quiet appointment option, with a different style of touch and focus.
