A quieter kind of appointment

Reiki is a complementary practice with roots in Japan. A session involves light touch or hands held near the body, depending on the approach discussed with the practitioner. You rest while the appointment unfolds in a calm setting. It may appeal if you value stillness and prefer a session without the pressure of conventional massage.

Traditional Reiki language refers to energy and balance. These are descriptions of the practice and its beliefs, not established medical explanations or guarantees of a health outcome.

Choose an experience that suits you

You can ask the practitioner to explain how the session will work before it begins. Tell us about touch preferences, comfort and anything that affects lying or sitting for the appointment. You do not need to share a particular belief system to ask questions or decide whether the experience is for you.

Session options

Choose standard Reiki for a quiet complementary appointment. Relaxing Reiki Massage combines gentle massage and Reiki in a separate treatment.

Transformational Sessions with Jess offer a different, more individual form of work. Read about the Alignment and Intensive sessions to understand that distinction.

answered.

Explore all frequently asked questions

Is Reiki a massage?

It does not normally involve the kneading or firmer pressure used in massage. Light touch and stillness are central to the appointment.

Do I need to believe in Reiki?

You can discuss the practice with the therapist and choose based on your own preferences. There is no need to agree to claims you are uncomfortable with.

Can Reiki replace medical treatment?

No. Continue appropriate healthcare and discuss health concerns with a qualified clinician. A Reiki appointment does not diagnose or treat a medical condition.
