Time for your hardworking body, with a conversation about the activities that matter to you.

An appointment built around your activity

Sports massage starts with the way you use your body. You might run, row, cycle, play a team sport or simply enjoy keeping active. Your therapist will ask about your training, areas that feel tight, any recent injuries and what you would like to focus on.

The session may use focused massage and, where appropriate, agreed stretching techniques. Pressure and pace are adjusted with you. You do not need to compete in sport to book, and you do not need to arrive with a technical description of every muscle.

Useful context to bring with you

Mention upcoming events, recent changes to your training and any advice from your physiotherapist or other clinician. A sports massage appointment does not diagnose an injury or replace rehabilitation. If you have a new injury, unexplained swelling or symptoms that worry you, arrange an assessment before booking massage for that problem.

Sports or deep tissue?

If your main preference is a firmer massage and you are not looking for activity-specific work, our deep tissue treatment may be a better starting point. If your priorities relate to running, rowing or your exercise routine, explain those when you book sports massage. We can then use the time for the areas that matter rather than treating every appointment identically.

A few helpful details

Your questions,
answered.

Explore all frequently asked questions

Do I need to be an athlete?

No. Recreational runners, gym-goers and other active people can discuss a sports massage appointment. Your own needs and suitability matter more than your level of competition.

Should I book just before a race?

Discuss the timing and intensity with your therapist. Avoid experimenting with an unfamiliar intensive treatment immediately before an important event.

Can sports massage treat an injury?

An injury may need assessment and rehabilitation from an appropriate clinician. Tell us about it before booking; massage is not a substitute for that assessment.
